3D printing
Material
The WindNerd One is designed using PETG filament, a very common plastic that is easy to print, even on basic 3D printers, while providing good resistance to outdoor conditions. The parts are specifically designed to be printed without supports or a raft; in fact, the standard settings provided by your slicer should work perfectly fine. If you experience adhesion issues, consider upgrading to a PEI textured plate, as PETG adheres very well to it.
Avoid PETG-HF, as parts printed with this filament lack the dimensional accuracy required for properly fitting the bearings.
STL files
There are 8 different parts to print to be downloaded from our Github repository.
For clarity, the parts are numbered sequentially based on their position from top to bottom.
For reference, printing all the parts takes 8 hours on a Bambulab A1 with default setting.
