Instructions
Steps
1. Preparation
Inspect all printed parts and remove any imperfections that could prevent them from spinning freely.
2. Magnet Insertion
The magnets are designed for a tight press-fit and typically do not require glue. If adhesive is needed due to a loose fit, apply a small amount and allow it to fully cure before proceeding to the next step, to prevent leakage.
Insert the 4×6 mm magnet into its designated slot on part #2-Vane.
Insert the 3×5 mm magnet into its designated slot on part #6-cups-axle.
3. Rotor Bearing Installation
Bearings are intended to fit securely without the use of glue. However, if the fit is too loose, you may apply a small amount of adhesive. Be careful to avoid any contact with the rolling elements to ensure proper bearing function and wait for the glue to cure before proceeding to the next step.
Insert a bearing into part #6-cups-axle.
4. Rotor Installation
Insert part #6-cups-axle onto the shaft of part #7-pcb-housing and push it down. If the fit is too loose, you may apply a small amount of adhesive at the base of the shaft.
5. Vane Support Assembly
Slide part #4-vane-support-low onto the shaft. Apply glue, then insert part #3-vane-support-up and press firmly until the glue has cured.
6. Vane Bearing Installation
Install vane bearing on part #2-vane-axle. If the fit is loose, apply a small amount of glue to the inner ring of the bearing. Allow the glue to fully cure before proceeding to the next step.
7. Vane Axle Installation
Insert part #2-vane-axle into the assembly. If the fit is loose, apply a small amount of glue to the outer ring.
8. Electronic board Installation
Insert the electronic board and fasten it with the smallest screw.
9. Enclosure Assembly
- Insert the anemometer body into the mast mount or Sunbank and tighten the screw. Place a 36 mm seal at the junction to prevent water ingress.
10. Vane and rotor installation
- Place the cup rotor and secure it with a 36 mm silicone seal.
- Place the wind vane and secure it with a 32mm silicone seal
