Wind Forwarding
Wind forwarding pushes your station's measurements to third-party weather platforms, so your spot also appears on the apps people already use. Open it with the Wind Forwarding button on the station card in the management console.
Two destinations are currently supported: Windy and Windguru. Each destination is a small card in the panel with its own credentials, an Enabled switch (pause forwarding without deleting the credentials; the card shows a paused tag), and a delete button. Use Add destination to add a service; each service can be configured once per station. Changes are applied with Save.
A WindNerd One(-S) can also upload directly from the device itself, without going through windnerd.net. See Weather Services.
Forwarding to Windy

To get these, create the station on Windy first:
- Go to stations.windy.com and log in with your (free) Windy account.
- Add a new station: name it and place it on the map at your station's real position. Get this right, as forecasts and nearby-station search rely on it.
- Windy gives you a Station ID and an API key for uploads. Copy both into the WindNerd form and save.
Windy accepts new data at most every 5 minutes, so your station appears there with 5-minute updates.
Forwarding to Windguru

To get these, register the station on Windguru first:
- Go to stations.windguru.cz and log in with your Windguru account.
- Add a new station: pick a UID (a unique short name for your station), set its position, and define an upload password.
- Copy the same UID and password into the WindNerd form and save. Windguru accepts updates as often as every minute, matching WindNerd's own cadence closely.

The bottom of the panel lists the most recent upload attempts (times in UTC), one line per attempt with the destination, the HTTP status, and the error message when a delivery failed. Use the refresh button after saving new credentials: a growing list of green check marks means the connection works; repeated errors usually point to a typo in the credentials or a station not yet fully set up on the destination side.
